Dickens
$450 per couple for complete weekend package*
It has often been said that Charles Dickens invented Christmas, and it is certain that he at least contributed to its popularity with his wonderful holiday stories, the most famous of which is "A Christmas Carol."

Whatever the causes, the Victorians loved their Christmas and celebrated it with just as much enthusiasm as we do today. Then as now, Christmas was marked by the spirit of benevolence and the joy of the family feast.
We continue that wonderful Victorian tradition during our "Dickens Christmas Dinner" each year in December. Come join us for a spectacular Christmas feast! Indulge yourself with a weekend package which includes two night's lodging at the Kirby House, a place that Victorian writer Charles Dickens would have called "Christmas Past," a welcome celebration on Friday night not unlike a Christmas party Mr. Fezziwig would have hosted himself complete with light appetizers and cocktails. On Saturday night a four course Christmas feast just like Scrooge's nephew would have provided. Plus, your weekend package also includes two gourmet breakfasts.
